Embark on an unforgettable 1,450-mile journey across Ohio with the Buckeye Trail! Marked by its signature blue blazes, this trail winds through every corner of the state, taking you from the shores of Lake Erie near Cleveland to the scenic overlooks above the Ohio River in Cincinnati. Along the way, you’ll experience Ohio’s rich and varied landscapes, offering a little bit of everything this beautiful state has to offer.
Look for the iconic blue blazes—your guide to the Buckeye Trail! These 2" by 6" marks on trees or poles lead the way. A single blaze tells you you’re on the right path, while a double blaze signals a turn, with the upper blaze pointing in the new direction. If you see two blazes without an offset, stay alert—the trail may not be as obvious.
